After collecting data about operational systems and laboratory users, we create a functional and space program to describe the client's current and projected space and operational requirements.

We seek to determine the client's needs (as opposed to the users' wants) to ensure a streamlined, cost-effective space program. We consider user-specific space needs to develop an optimal laboratory size, which supports flexibility of function and standardization of components. In addition, the functional and space program also identifies physical adjacency requirements between components based on operational requirements, functional relationships, etc.
